Thank you, Lord for allowing me to be the mommy to Elisha for even such a short time. Thank you for allowing me to partner with you in the creation of life. Thank you for allowing me to feel a new life within me. Thank you for saving my child from this perilous world. Thank you for the eternal life he now possesses.
If I never have another opportunity to experience this miracle of life again in my body, still I will praise you for allowing me this experience of love you had for me.
Psalm 9
1 I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.
2 I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
Psalm 57
9 I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.
10 For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!
Psalm 71:8
But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more.
Hebrews 10:23-25 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Things I have learned from Madilyne's Death
- Our perspective needs to be ETERNAL
- Life is too short, Forgive one another
- Love our Neighbors
- Having Joy is a choice
- Love is a gift
- To Love Deeply is to open yourself up to hurt Deeply, but it is worth it
- To wish that Madilyne did not die is to wish not to experience her at all.
- The church SHOULD BE bigger than the building in which you attend.
- I have more friends than I ever really though I did, yet not necessarily all that I thought I had are the ones that God is using the most now.
- God is so much bigger than our circumstances. I am glad that I do not understand His ways, because it would really be hard to worship and serve someone that I could fully grasp. My God is BIGGER than that. AMEN
There is so much more, but I wanted to remind myself that I haven't stopped living, caring, breathing, being. I am still standing and even in sadness, I feel that I am stronger and understand Jesus more as a result.

Mommy, Daddy and our baby girl. Oh how we miss you so. |
(I wanted to post the songs that were played and sang at the memorial for those that might be interested in hearing. I hope to get the service posted as well, but have to figure that one out.)

Scripture Reading : Psalm 91
My Refuge and My Fortress
91 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say[a] to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say[a] to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—
the Most High, who is my refuge[b]—
10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.
the Most High, who is my refuge[b]—
10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
14 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows my name.
15 When he calls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
I will protect him, because he knows my name.
15 When he calls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”

Praise Him in the Storm
We were able to pray together and honestly thank the Lord for the blessing in our lives through Jordan, Madilyne, George and Bently. Each one of them was a short time in our home, and we had many failures in them, but we prayed that God would still be able to use them and us.
We thanked God for protecting our Turner David through pregnancy, birth and almost his 4th year of life (Oct 28 he will be 4). We praised God in the joy that he has provided to us and asked for wisdom in raising him and teaching him to Love the Lord.
We prayed that our marriage would be something that shows the love of Christ first to each other, to our son and then to those around that are watching.
We were able to pray for those that are walking the path we are on, and those that might be walking it with no hope. We prayed for opportunities to show and tell of the hope in Christ to others.
What a great night in the midst of our sorrow and hurt. You truly can have joy even in your trials if you CHOOSE to have it.
James 1: 2-18
2 Count it all joy, my brothers,[b] when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
9 Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, 10 and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass[c] he will pass away.11 For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.
12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lightswith whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.[d] 18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures
