Has despair overtaken you or are you filled with Joy?

There are so many in the world that are filled with despair. They find their life lacking in hope and purpose? What is robbing us of our joy? Do we understand where joy comes from?

Happiness and joy are not the same. Joy comes from the Lord in moments where happiness isn't present. When you loose a loved one, you are not happy, but you can have a peaceful Joy.

Joy is a supernatural experience that comes from God. Joy cannot be explained away. You will find joy when you find someone that has reasons to be angry but they still contain a sense of contentment. God is the one that will give you the joy that will display itself to others as something to long for, something that they don't posses. They will see in you something different, something they long to have.

When you arise in the morning, do you ask God to fill you with a joy that others cannot explain away? A joy that only can come from Him?

God tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5: 16 - 18 to "Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." Do you think He would ask us to rejoice and not supply us with the joy to do so? He is there to fill us. He desires for us to long for joy and thanksgiving. We need to wake up asking and go to bed thanking Him.

God's joy is unshakeable, even in the face of things we don't understand. Nehemiah 8:10 - do not be grieved, the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Ask God for a joy unspeakable and full of Glory.
