Year Round Event Ideas

Museums/Science & Nature

  1. Butterfly Pavilion, Westminster: $1 on your birthday, $6.50 for Westminster Residents, $8.50 for non-Westminster Residents, $5.50 for children ages 2-12, under 2 are free
  2. University of Colorado (CU) Museum of Natural History, CU-Boulder Campus, Henderson Building next to the University Memorial Center, Boulder: Monday-Friday 9 AM-5 PM, Saturday 9 AM-4 PM, Sunday 10 AM-4 PM, free but suggested donation of $3 for adults and $1 for children ages 6-18 and seniors
  3. WOW! Children’s Museum, Lafayette: Tuesday-Sunday, open on Mondays for Boulder Valley School District holidays, ages 15 months to 11 years are $8, children under 15 months are free, parents are free
  4. Underwater Fish Observatory, along Boulder Creek behind Millennium Harvest House, 1345 28th Street, Boulder: free
  5. Denver Zoo

  1. Dinosaur Play Area, Flatirons Crossing Mall, Broomfield: all ages, free
  2. Gateway Fun Park, Boulder: all ages, prices vary by activity
  3. Indoor Playground, Paul Derda Recreation Center, Broomfield: children under 4 years are free
  4. Monkey Bizness, Orchard Town Center, Westminster: children over age 1 are $8, children who are crawlers between 6 months and 1 year are $5, infants and parents are free
  5. Pearl Street Mall, Boulder: separate rock and sculpture areas for kids to climb on, free

Story Times

  1. Storytimes for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers at Boulder, Broomfield, Lafayette, Longmont, Louisville, and Nederland Libraries. Check your local library for dates and times for these and other library events. Free.

Family Meals 

  1. Chick-Fil-A Family Night - Each Tuesday
  2. Chick-Fil-A free breakfast - each Wednesday
