Joy Comes in the morning

It is so easy to loose site of our real source of joy.

It has recently been brought to my attention that my joy is not being displayed as it once was. I was encouraged to not allow the circumstances of my life to be the focus that I lose my relationship with the Lord, the provider of joy.

Joy is not something that we have on occasion, God has commanded us to have joy. If it is a command, it is something that we can do with His help.

There are so many verses on Joy and Hope in the Bible. I have listed out several verses that have been speaking to me over the last week. I pray they will be an encouragement to you when you feel like you are lacking joy.

Our greatest purpose is to know God, and while we are knowing Him, He will use us for HIS purposes.

Job 8:20-22

20 "Surely God does not reject a blameless man
or strengthen the hands of evildoers.

21 He will yet fill your mouth with laughter
and your lips with shouts of joy.

22 Your enemies will be clothed in shame,
and the tents of the wicked will be no more."

Job 33:26-27

26 He prays to God and finds favor with him,
he sees God's face and shouts for joy;
he is restored by God to his righteous state.

27 Then he comes to men and says,
'I sinned, and perverted what was right,
but I did not get what I deserved.

Psalm 5:11

11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

Psalm 19:8

8 The precepts of the LORD are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant,
giving light to the eyes.

Psalm 28:7

7 The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy
and I will give thanks to him in song.

Psalm 43:4

4 Then will I go to the altar of God,
to God, my joy and my delight.
I will praise you with the harp,
O God, my God.

Psalm 51:12

12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Psalm 68:3

3 But may the righteous be glad
and rejoice before God;
may they be happy and joyful.

Psalm 90:14

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,
that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

Psalm 94:19

19 When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought joy to my soul.
