After talking for a little bit she said “I am so sorry for what you are going through” and I told her “it’s ok.” While walking down the sidewalk she grabbed me and stopped me and looked into my eyes and she told me “no it’s not ok.” To hear someone say it, especially someone I was not close with was so freeing.
